We’re supporting a search for a Maintenance Manager with a 24/7 plastics manufacturing operation in Indiana. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for plant reliability, preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, team development, and maintenance execution across extrusion blow molding equipment and supporting plant systems.

You’ll lead plant maintenance with responsibility for people, equipment reliability, safety, planning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Key areas of focus include:

• Lead and develop a team of mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel
• Manage preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance programs
• Improve equipment availability and plant reliability
• Minimize machine downtime
• Lead equipment repairs and rebuilds as needed
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Diagnose equipment problems and implement corrective actions
• Support extrusion blow molding equipment
• Support compressors, chillers, HVAC, conveyors, robotics, and other plant systems
• Manage maintenance planning and scheduling
• Improve utilization of maintenance technicians and equipment
• Manage spare parts inventory and inventory controls
• Establish maintenance goals and KPIs aligned with plant objectives
• Track and report maintenance performance metrics
• Support capital projects and equipment upgrades
• Manage maintenance and capital spending
• Develop training plans and identify skill gaps across the team
• Evaluate employee performance and development needs
• Partner closely with Production
• Support Lean manufacturing and TPM activity
• Support OSHA and plant safety requirements
• Troubleshoot robotics and electrical systems
• Provide hands‑on maintenance support when needed

You are a hands‑on maintenance leader who is comfortable being on the floor, diagnosing problems, and working alongside the team.

You understand plant reliability, can identify technical skill gaps, and know how to develop people while improving equipment performance. Safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer support are central to how you lead.

• Minimum 5 years of plant-wide Maintenance Manager experience
• Extrusion blow molding experience required
• Plastics manufacturing experience
• Electrical maintenance experience required
• High‑voltage electrical experience strongly preferred
• Support systems experience with compressors and chillers required
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting background
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience
• Robotics troubleshooting experience
• Preventative and predictive maintenance experience
• TPM background preferred
• Lean manufacturing experience
• Maintenance KPI and metrics experience
• Budgeting experience
• Project planning experience
• OSHA 30
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• Engineering discipline preferred
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Hands‑on maintenance approach

The plant has a strong preventative maintenance foundation but continues to experience reliability issues with some equipment. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for improving equipment reliability, strengthening the technical capability of the team, supporting equipment upgrades, and helping the plant continue improving operational performance.
