As the Shipping and Receiving Associate you will perform Shipping & Receiving activities ensuring safety, quality, accuracy and customer due date/output goals are met.
Your Accountabilities in the Role- Performs the shipping and receiving of all products, materials, and supplies to ensure quality, accuracy and customer expectations are met.
- Tracks and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure the system and inventory is accurate.
- Operates forklifts to stage material in its designated area in a safe and efficient manner to ensure accurate picking, preparation, and shipment.
- Prepares and wraps goods on appropriate skids to maintain the quality of the product and ensure the full order travels together, where appropriate.
- Compares and counts, weighs, or measures items of shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
- Ensures the company is compliant with safety, quality, and environmental standards to meet regulations.
- Performs additional tasks as needed to meet the needs of the company.
- Education:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. - Experience:
1+ years of Shipping, Receiving, and Material Handling experience or similar work experience in a warehouse environment preferred; will train the right person who has excellent counting, visual accuracy, and PC skills. - Certification(s):
Valid Driver's License. Forklift experience required. - Functional
Skills:
High attention to detail with an ability to read and understand documents, procedures and specifications, along with the ability to match part numbers accurately. Solid math and counting skills are required. - Technology Aptitude/
Skills:
Basic computer skills to perform data entry into computer system. Ability to operate scanner and printer. Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist and lift up to 50 lbs. - Communication
Skills:
Solid verbal and written communication skills. - Leadership/Behaviors:

Pay/Salary
:
Hourly pay from $20-24 per hour

Reports To: Shipping Lead
Core Hours
: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (schedule can be slightly flexible; will work approx. 8 hours within this timeframe)
Typical Work Week: M-F; 40 - 45 hours a week on average (Some overtime as needed)

Work Environment: Temperature controlled environment
