General DutiesThe operator uses CNC machining equipment to machine rubber-to-metal bonded seals, as well as molded rubber and/or composite parts.
Specific DutiesThe operator performs these activities:
- Completes daily time card
- Follows and signs work orders
- If required, completes work order changes
- Follows safety rules
The operator may perform any of these operations:
- Machines parts with an automatic (CNC) lathe;
- Inspects and measures parts with gauges, calipers, comparators, and similar devices;
- All custom finishing operations typically performed by a Finishing Worker
A.
- Minimum experience:
12 months' previous factory experience working with CNC lathes or completion of recent machinist training/education.
- Minimum education:
High School diploma or GED - Must read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to read customer drawings and use inspection equipment.
- Stands on concrete for prolonged periods of times. Lift trays of inserts weighing up to 50 pounds.
