Machine Operator - 2nd Shift | Bristol, IN (Main)

Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $25.00 - 25.00

Setup and operate sheet metal fabricating machines, such as press brakes, shears, turret punch presses, saws, and presses, to cut, bend, and form sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in acontinuous improvement environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
• Perform the above within acceptable quality, quantity, performance, and safety standards
• Maintain valid forklift/stand-up license- including completion of daily forktruck maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipment
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP and bar code scanners systems
• Responsible for maintaining inventory record accuracy through accurate stock transfers and cycle counts
• Transports materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to pallet jack, forklift, stand-upand/or pac mule

• Math skills including converting fractions to decimals
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to read a blueprint or be trained to read a blueprint
• Problem solving skills
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds and sliding 100 pounds without assistance
• Clean department and maintain neatness in the surrounding work areas
