We are recruiting for an experienced Plant Manager to lead the financial and operational performance of our client's Indianapolis manufacturing facility specializing in vibration monitoring technology. This key leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability while developing and leading a high-performing team. The ideal applicant should be versed in both operations and finance.
Responsibilities:- Lead all plant operations, including Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
- Own plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and financial results
- Manage plant P&L, operating budgets, forecasting, capital expenditures, and cost improvement initiatives
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Establish and monitor KPIs that improve operational performance and accountability
- Coach, mentor, and develop leaders while fostering a culture of engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, Finance, HR, and executive leadership to support business objectives and customer expectations
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, regulatory requirements, and company safety standards
- Support long-term operational planning, capacity expansion, and strategic growth initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred
- Progressive manufacturing leadership experience with success leading plant operations
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing plant P&L, budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
- Proven track record improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and operational performance
- Hands‑on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; IFS or Made2
Manage experience is a plus - Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship and able to meet the eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance
