Hourly Rate: $25.75-$26.75 employees with less than 1 year of service will follow the planned incremental increases
Shift: 3rd shift 11pm-7am, Sunday to Thursday
Position Summary:
This position will be required to perform the following tasks:
Material Handler, Pack Operator / Floor and Hauler positions
- Material Handler Deliver materials to the production lines, as well as clearing jams in packaging equipment as needed.
- Hauler Supplies raw materials and quantities to the Production Lines in accordance with food safety requirements.
- MW Hauler Ensure that frozen blocks needed in support of retail production lines are de-mastered, tempered and transported in accordance with Gorton’s procedures and food safety requirements.
- Pack Operator/ Floor Operating and clearing jams in various pieces of packaging equipment.
- Breaker/Cleanup Relieve the following line positions for breaks and successfully perform these rolls: block opening, cutter, raw and cooked culler, bag inspector, palletizer and Trim Collection
- Must be able to perform Operations Level 2 positions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrates sound judgment in decision making.
- Demonstrate proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures as it applies to the equipment you are operating.
- Ability to engage and collaborate positively with all levels and departments.
- Understanding standards and measurements.
- Math and computer skills.
- Reliable and consistent attendance.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (after a training period) – if required by your role
- Lift up to 60 pounds
- Stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours
- Abide by company GMP and PPE policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
