R8208## * ## Performs finishing operations as directed and assigned on a variety of product.  Such operations include packaging, assembly, rework, inspection, weighing, recording finished production.  Work under direct supervision.* ## Packs cartons with empty plastic bottles at a standard rate.* ## Twists, bends and lifts every carton.  This requires wrist and arm movements.* ## Uses simple measuring instruments such as a ruler, scale or gages to check work.  

General arithmetic knowledge is necessary to understand how to use these tools.* ## Monitors product for quality defects and promptly inform the operator and/ or the coordinator.* ## Loads conveyors and flamers.* ## Practices housekeeping on assigned line(s) and around machine including mopping if necessary.* ## Removes scrap from around the line.* ## Grind and pull plastic as needed.* ## Makes and unitizes cartons as assigned.
* ## Initials and dates box labels.* ## Makes out unit tickets.* ## Does any other work as assigned by the Supervisor.* ## Ability to work with 18- 30 lbs. per carton.* ## Possibly packs 100 to 250 cartons in an 8-hour shift.* ##

May have to lift carton off the horse onto floor.* ## Twists, bends and lifts every carton.* ## Promotes a safe working environment.* ## Understands and adheres to all Silgan safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and co-workers.
