Purpose:

What You Will Do:
Perform maintenance and skilled repairs on complex production equipment and systems (mechanical & electrical).Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes:
Your Accountabilities in the Role Maintaining High Quality and Efficiency (90% of the job)
Performs maintenance and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, repairs cylinders, greasing, blowing out motors, checking belts, etc.
Performs and promotes 5S and prevents or reports appropriately all unsafe conditions and acts Reads and understands mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and prints to troubleshoot and repair circuits and equipment
Communicates well with associates, coordinators, suppliers and customers, coordinates work in a positive and professional manner
Routine PMs on equipment and locates and corrects problems before breakdowns occur
Exhibits professional craftsmanship in electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic work on breakdowns, projects and preventative maintenance
Performs building maintenance such as painting, repairs, and grounds upkeep as required
Mentoring & Training (5% of the job)
Use strengths and skills to mentor and train others in meeting and exceeding delivery dates and customer expectations
Supports leaders and other team areas as needed to meet overall team goals
Participate in incident investigations as needed
Other Areas of Responsibility (5% of the job)
Attend safety meetings as needed
Follow RCII’s policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook Participate in lean manufacturing activities

Equipment Used:
This role routinely uses weld equipment and other tools throughout the day.
Physical Requirements to Perform
Essential Functions:
Ability to stand or walk on concrete surfaces seven plus hours per day Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools in a safe way for seven plus hours per day Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds independently to move product on a regular basis
Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, push, pull and lift over 75 pounds as part of a team lift or using a lifting device
Ability to review procedures, do basic math and measurement computations as well as visually compare product to quality specifications
Environmental Conditions & Travel:
The employee is primarily exposed to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise. The employee is required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment.
The manufacturing warehouse has heat; however, temperature fluctuates throughout the day.
Various machinery, equipment and forklifts are used in the manufacturing areas. Employees should use extreme caution, follow all safety procedures, and wear all required PPE to ensure safety for themselves and others
Position Requirements :
Education:
A high school diploma or GED
Experience:
3-5 years technical/electrical experience in an industrial or commercial environment; hydraulic experience preferred
Certification(s): A trade school or apprentice certificate preferred
Functional
Skills:
Basic math and counting skills
Use of measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, paint mil. checker, micrometers, etc.
Able to read, understand and follow work instructions
Able to read and understand blueprints
Able to work using small hand tools (employee owned) at a good speed
Able to be flexible and move from job to job as priorities change
Must be able to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and bucket lifts as needed
Climbing ladders and comfortable with heights
Technology Aptitude/
Skills:
Ability to use computers to review procedures and enter data Language
Skills:
Able to read/write/speak English fluently and is able to fill out all required forms and paperwork needed for the position; communicates in a positive way Leadership/Behaviors:
