Communications Coordinator (Part-Time)
St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish and St. Thomas More University Parish, Indiana
The Parishes of St. Bernard of Clairvaux and St. Thomas More seek a of Communications Coordinator who will provide essential support in maintaining the efficiency and communication of the combined Parish Office. Through various tasks and responsibilities, the person will support the work and ministry of, and ensure the smooth operation of the Indiana Catholic Community, for the clergy, Financial Secretary, Clearance Coordinator, parishioners, and parish.
This is a part-time position, 25 hours per week position.
Duties include but are not limited to responding to all parish and Diocesan email correspondence; maintaining Parish and Indiana Catholic Community based contact lists; maintaining the St. Thomas More Parish Prayer Chain and list; maintaining share prayer requests and communicating it via email to the STMUP Prayer Chain and Parish Council Members; create weekly email communications that inform the registered parishioners of upcoming events, services, and activities via Flock notes;
communicate schedule changes, registration opportunities for parish studies and functions via Flock notes; maintain and monitor TV displays for power and/or computer resets for Opti Signs; create monitor displays and notices of community events, schedules, and update Opti Signs screens as needed; maintain and update the Parish Website using Diocesan Website Management through Word Press; update the “News & Events” tab for Parish Communication of Events and Schedules;
post non-digital community, regional, and Diocesan events and information as necessary on parish Bulletin Boards; maintain accurate, updated, and neat bulletin board spaces; maintain and update Weekly Parish Bulletin for weekly printing and distribution.
Must have a valid PA Driver’s License and must complete and comply with all required Diocesan clearances and trainings.
Experience Required- At least 2 years administrative experience
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Word and Excel
- Proficient or teachable in design online design software
- Ability to train and learn simple block website editing – Word Press;
Flocknote communication platform, and Opti Signs communication display software. - Proficient or teachable in general office equipment – computers: software, internet, and email.
- Valid Drivers License
- Completion of all Diocesan Safe Environment Clearance and Training requirements
