PositionSummary
Our Adolescent Inpatient Psych Unit is hiring for a full-time day shift position! The RN for this unit delivers care to children and adolescents with complex behavioral and emotional needs. The Registered Nurse in our Behavioral Health Department supports two primary areas: the Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and the Behavioral Health Access Center (Psychiatric Holding Unit). RNs have the opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team and are involved in the treatment planning and implementation of therapeutic interventions specific to each patient’s goals.
As a Registered Nurse in Adolescent Psych compassion, leading nursing enrichment activities, establishing therapeutic boundaries, and being comfortable deescalating situations are all necessary components of patient care. - Nurses will be trained in both an emergency crisis unit as well as an inpatient psychiatric unit
- New Psych holding unit in the Emergency Department opened in February 2025!

- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN);
Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions:
Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). - Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
