Registered Nurse - Pain Clinic

Position: Registered Nurse - Pain Clinic - Full Time 72 Hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role you will be:

* Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and recording patient care in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care, policies, and procedures.

* Participating in teaching and involving individuals and their families in their health promotion, maintenance, restoration, and rehabilitation.

* Coordinating discharge planning in conjunction with other members of the health team.

* Directing and assisting with the Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Assistant, and Nursing Student in rendering care to patients.

* Working collaboratively with all members of the patient care team and provides leadership so that standards of professional nursing practice are maintained in the clinical setting.

* Able to respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patients' clinical condition.

* Demonstrating the ability to function as a charge nurse as assigned.

* Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the span of life.

* Identifying age-specific needs and planning care accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

* EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

* EXPERIENCE:

2 years of clinical experience working in a physician's office or in an ambulatory care setting preferred

* LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

* Possess current license as an RN in Pennsylvania, or must pass nursing boards within 6 months of hire

* BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire

* ACLS training required or obtained within 6 months of hire
