Join our Fragrance Development Team as a Junior Evaluator, where you will select, develop, and validate fragrances in close cooperation with senior evaluator team members, with clear understanding of customer and brief requirements, to drive business value and ensure successful completion of external projects, according to Fragrance Evaluation objectives.
Responsibilities Fragrance Evaluation- Complete simple briefs with guidance & coaching from evaluation seniors, using IBIS system
- Support evaluation on Galleria management responsibility
- Work with Perfumers on technical modifications
- Conduct internal panel tests as directed by CFM
- Assist Marketing/Sales in olfactory mapping
- Prepare internal/small customer presentations
- Attend validation panels to review/evaluate library entries
- Search Fragrance Land for relevant themes
- Search Galleria for candidates/creative starting points
- Self-develop and train on-the-job and via Givaudan Learning Resource Centre
- University Degree (or equivalent)
- Verbal and written command of English
- 1-2 years’ experience as intern/trainee and other relevant experience in evaluation, or with related industry experience
- Proficiency in using common applications
- Competent olfactory skills: ability to define, recognize and memorize olfactory notes and fragrance language terms and determine olfactory directions (to be assessed by standardized olfactory test)
- Ability to create and make presentations for their submissions
- Apply Raw Material understanding to fragrance development process
- Ability to build and incorporate basic understanding of consumer olfactory preferences into fragrance evaluation
- Willingness to develop competent knowledge of fragrance applications across categories and reactions/interactions across different bases
- Competent knowledge of Givaudan Applications/Evaluation/Research methodologies, principles, protocols and documentation
- Basic knowledge of fragrance products, general market dynamics, and key customers
- Ability to build knowledge of customers' products and processes
- Effective utilization of Givaudan systems (IBIS, Fragrance land, GAlleria etc.) to identify themes and resources to meet project priorities
- Understanding of Givaudan's brief process and functional interfaces
- Time and project Management skills
