Top Tier Ingredients in Hancock, WI is hiring a Night Shift QA Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring food ingredients produced meet quality and safety standards by performing quality control tests and other tasks in accordance with Quality Assurance Standards while working in compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.

- Permanent Position - Hours:
5pm to 5am (12‑hour shifts) - Workdays: 2‑2‑3 Shift Schedule. Approx. 36‑48 hours. 3
Day Weekend every other week off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! The work schedule may vary depending on the time of year and product demand. - Wage:

- Sample Collection & Testing:
Retrieve, test, and record quality control samples of raw materials, in‑process items, and finished goods to ensure all products meet Top‑Tier’s quality standards and customer requirements. - Batch Record Verification:
Review ingredient batch's to confirm correct ingredients, materials, and formulations are used in compliance with production specifications. - In‑Process Quality Checks:
Conduct and document Critical Control Point (CCP) and Critical Processing Check (CPC) verifications at various production stages such as cooking, blending, and packaging. - Sanitation Verification:
Perform pre‑operational inspections to verify that all equipment, food‑contact surfaces, utensils, and production areas are properly cleaned and sanitized before production begins; identify and report sanitation deficiencies. Conduct in‑process sanitation checks to ensure continued compliance with hygiene standards during production, including monitoring personnel practices (e.g., glove changes, handwashing) and equipment cleanliness. Support environmental monitoring activities as needed. - Deviation Reporting:
Document and report any deviations, process abnormalities, or product non‑conformances in accordance with SOPs and Top‑Tier policies. - GMP Compliance:
Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) across all departments; coach and support team members to maintain hygiene and food safety compliance. - R&D Trial Support:
Accurately record process parameters and observations during Research & Development (R&D) production runs to support formulation trials and process validation. - Workplace Safety:
Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Report safety concerns and take proper action regarding any unsafe equipment, processes, or behaviors.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with food safety systems such as HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, SQF, and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
- Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital quality systems.
- Perform basic to intermediate math calculations related to weight verification and ingredient batching.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented production environment.
- Valid driver’s license required; candidates must be eligible to pass a motor vehicle record review.
