Job Accountabilities
- Implementation of Company’s Project Quality Management Process (PQMP) and Project Quality Plan (PQP) on the Project by ensuring activities, actions and deliverables per PQMP and PQP are delivered at appropriate time by responsible parties.
- Implementation of Company’s Project Quality Management Process (PQMP) and Project Quality Plan (PQP) on the Project by ensuring activities, actions and deliverables per PQMP and PQP are delivered at appropriate time by responsible parties.
- Ensure implementation of Company Nonconformity Management Procedure and other tools for reporting quality issues.
- Establish and maintain QC processes focused on Quality Risks and apply Risk based approach.
- Coordination and supervision of the Company Offshore QC team , facilitation for 3rd party inspections by IVB etc.
- Managing Company Offshore project QC activities at overseeing Execution Contractor’s QC activity while performing direct intervention and ensuring contractual QC obligations.
- Ensuring that Company QC coverage is sufficient and that the inspectors are of the required discipline, competence and in possession of valid qualifications related to the function performed.
- Reviewing Company Inspectors deliverables, analyzing and resolving issues and problem emerging during the Quality Control activity. Ensuring that all Inspections and test witnessed by Company Inspectors are recorded and documented and that inspection/examination reports are reviewed and signed as defined by the applicable ITP.
- Reviewing and approving Execution Contractors and Suppliers QC Documentation/Dossiers/MRBs for a structured handover to the next phase (Commissioning team or COMPANY Technical archive in Atyrau).
- Reviewing records of internal and external Audits performed by the Execution Contractor.
- Advising functional QAQC Manager regarding the need for Company audits on the Execution Contractor and their Suppliers and coordinating for their support.
- Reviewing Execution Contractor’s Purchaser Orders on contractual QC requirements .
- Assessing adequacy and competence of Execution Contractor Quality Organization at the Fabrication, Construction, Installation and HUC sites to assure that the applicable quality standards are achieved.
- Verifying that Execution Contractors Quality Personnel are in possession of valid qualifications related to the proposed function and conducting interview for the Contractor key inspection/coordination personnel as necessary.
- Interaction with Company Technical Services team in resolving non-compliances in engineering / design by suppliers, manufacturers and execution contractors.
- Support Site/Project Manager with justifications and clarifications on quality engineering and control.
- Any other support to functional QAQC manager on training , competency, department and staff development.
As an advantage:
- At the minimum, it has to be total 10-12 years of relevant experience, out of which at least 6-8 years in the position of team lead.
- Higher Technical Education in Mechanical, Materials/Corrosion, Piping Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Minimum 6-8 years’ of relevant experience in a QC implementation, delivery in the Oil and Gas Industry projects, out of which approx 5-6 years in the team lead role.
- Experience in operating electronic QC Monitoring systems (such as welding/NDT databases, completion systems etc).Substantial Offshore experience in piping and pipeline fabrication, welding and installation .
- Substantial Experience with materials for sour services and high pressure conditions– low alloy steels, nickel alloys, stainless steels and carbon steel for sour service , manufacturing and welding Qualifications as per relevant codes and standards
- Experience with manufacturing of pipes, valves, vessels and other equipment for oil and gas services (experience expressed in quality control, inspections and testing of such) Qualifications in Welding and NDT (CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or equivalent; ASNT/PCN or equivalent Level II in RT, UT, MPI, PT) and Welding Engineering (IWF/EWF or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- Qualifications in Coating (NACE/BGAS or equivalent), Civil, Structural, E&I would be an advantage.
- Experience of working in RoK or Former Soviet Union projects would be an advantage.
- Strong technical competences in inspection , materials and manufacturing for oil and gas related projects
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams , leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good IT skills inputting data into information management system database.
