Retail Associate (Part-Time) - W. Hessler Rd. Muncie, IN

Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana is hiring a Retail Associate for a part‑time position at $11 per hour.

• Ring up customer orders, maintain a balanced drawer, and follow all cash handling procedures and protocols.
• Provide general information about Goodwill programs to educate customers and answer questions, directing higher‑level questions to the appropriate associate or manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor (purge, size, run racks, and merchandise).

• Sort products, check for quality issues, and properly bar code, tag, and hang textiles or wares.
• Produce 100 items per hour for wares/85 items per hour for textiles, adhering to Goodwill’s pricing standards and updating daily production tracking sheets.
• Occasionally use a pallet jack and routinely use a conveyor belt.

• Accept donations from customers and maintain a clean and clear donation door.
• Quickly and accurately sort products and distribute them to appropriate areas.
• Maintain an efficient working area by ensuring the backroom is clean and organized.
• Load and unload trucks as needed and regularly operate heavy equipment such as a pallet jack, double stacker, floor scrubber, and hydraulic lift.

• Identify and secure items of value for Click Goodwill.
• Stay informed of market value of merchandise through eBay and other Internet shopping sites to properly tag, itemize, and secure items for Click Goodwill, and educate the team on high‑ticket eCommerce items.
• Pack curated products onto pallets, wrap, and ship totes to Click Goodwill to meet the store budget regarding totes shipped per week.

• Scan books received by the store and decide what is sent to Click Goodwill or displayed at the store location to meet the store budget.
• Print inventory sheets and pack, seal, and ship totes for Click Goodwill.
• Identify top sellers and manage a clean, organized, in‑store sales‑effective display.

• Check each rack/cart to ensure quality and value.
• Properly size, merchandise, and purge the sales floor.
• Maintain a clean and orderly sales floor, put away carts, and stock shelves.
• Run one textile rack/wares cart per 15 minutes and update daily production tracking sheet.
