Ecommerce Trading & Site Operations ManagerGlassworks London is an independent women’s fashion retailer founded in 2010, with design-led boutiques, ecommerce and its own womenswear collections. We are strengthening the commercial performance, product structure and customer experience of our Shopify Plus website across the UK, USA and international markets.
THE ROLEWe are looking for a hands‑on Ecommerce Trading & Site Operations Manager to improve how our Shopify Plus website trades, converts and supports customer journeys. This is not a passive website admin role. We need someone who can improve product data, collections, navigation, merchandising, onsite trading, reporting, CRO and ecommerce apps.
The role requires strong Shopify and commercial ecommerce judgement, but it is not an unsupervised developer or brand design role. Theme, Liquid, checkout, major navigation, app purchases and brand-impacting visual changes must be approved before implementation.
We are looking for someone who has helped grow an already trading ecommerce channel, not just maintain a website.
WORKING PATTERN / LOCATIONFull-time remote role. Applicants may be based outside the UK, including India, South Africa or Eastern Europe, but must provide reliable overlap with UK working hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage day-to-day Shopify Plus trading and site execution.
Improve homepage, collection, product and promotional visibility.
Improve product setup, tagging, categorisation, filtering and merchandising logic.
Build better collection structures around customer buying moments such as occasion wear, weddings, gifting, workwear, holidays, new season and seasonal edits.
Improve product discovery through navigation, filters, search, related products, colour/product grouping and onsite merchandising.
Monitor ecommerce funnel performance, including sessions, conversion rate, product views, add-to-cart, checkout, revenue, AOV and returning customers.
Use Shopify analytics, GA4, Google Search Console, heatmap/session tools and app reporting where available.
Identify drop-off points, broken journeys, 404s, weak pages and practical CRO opportunities.
Improve use of ecommerce apps such as recommendations, upsell, cross‑sell, returns, loyalty, search/filtering and onsite customer experience tools.
Support better onsite treatment for VIP, repeat, UK, USA and international customers.
Improve product descriptions, collection copy, SEO hygiene and supporting pages where commercially relevant.
Use AI intelligently to improve product enrichment, SEO, tagging, image organisation, reporting, merchandising logic and ecommerce QA.
Work with product, Korea, brand and content teams to improve product data, imagery standards and ecommerce readiness.
Maintain clear ecommerce trackers, issue logs, weekly reporting and recommended actions.
WHAT THIS ROLE DOES NOT OWNThis role does not independently own:
overall brand creative direction;
final visual approval;
website theme redesign;
checkout changes;
product buying strategy;
warehouse operations;
legal decisions on returns policy;
major app purchases or commercial‑policy changes without approval.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORStrong hands‑on Shopify Plus or Shopify experience.
Experience improving ecommerce trading, merchandising, product discovery and customer journeys.
Strong product data, taxonomy, collection and filtering instincts.
Evidence of growing an established ecommerce channel, not just maintaining a website.
Commercial judgement across revenue, conversion, AOV and customer…
