VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMERCIAL SALES & STRATEGY – AUTOMOTIVE
An multi-site Automotive Supplier is seeking a Vice President of Commercial Sales & Strategy to lead the company's commercial organization and drive long-term, profitable growth. This executive leadership role is responsible for developing commercial strategy, strengthening key customer relationships, and aligning sales, product management, and program execution across the business.
This role goes beyond leading a sales team. You will help shape the company's strategic direction, influence future product investments, and partner closely with engineering and operations to ensure commercial success from opportunity identification through production launch.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and execute the company's commercial growth strategy
- Lead Sales, Account Management, and Product Management functions
- Build and strengthen executive relationships with OEMs and Tier suppliers
- Drive new business development, customer retention, and profitable revenue growth
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategy, and long-term customer agreements
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Program Management to support successful product launches
- Develop forecasting, budgeting, and margin improvement strategies
- Identify emerging market opportunities, competitive threats, and long-term growth initiatives
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial organization
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of commercial leadership experience within automotive manufacturing
- 5+ years leading sales, account management, or commercial organizations
- Strong background in injection molding and automotive exterior components or related products
- Experience working directly with automotive OEMs and Tier suppliers
- Proven success developing commercial strategy while driving profitable growth
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, pricing, and margins
- Executive-level leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
