Territory Sales Representative

Ervin Industries is seeking an autonomous, highly motivated Territory Sales Representative to drive growth across Kentucky, southern West Virginia, and part of the Ohio & Indiana South border area. In this field-based position, you will be responsible for maintaining & expanding Ervin’s footprint in the surface preparation and blast cleaning industry, delivering technical expertise directly to industrial facilities, blasting operators, and commercial buyers.

You will manage your own schedule, travel frequently throughout the region, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to our clients.

• Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively identify and engage manufacturing plants, foundries, and surface preparation facilities through cold calls, targeted emails, industry networking events, and regional research.
• Product Education & Technical Advice: Maintain in depth technical knowledge of our steel shot, steel grit, and surface cleaning OEM equipment to consult customers on optimizing blast cycles, lowering consumable consumption, and improving surface profile outcomes.
• Presentations & On-Site Demos: Conduct hands-on product demonstrations and trial evaluations at client facilities. Present custom tailored technical proposals that demonstrate clear cost per ton and efficiency benefits.
• Negotiation & Closing: Structure competitive pricing, address buyer hesitation, finalize commercial terms, and close sales contracts for long-term supply agreements.
• Relationship Management: Maintain consistent contact with existing accounts, perform post-sale follow-ups, resolve support requests, and ensure high customer satisfaction to secure repeat orders.
• Sales Quotas & Growth Goals: Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly revenue, volume, and new account acquisition targets set by management.

• Experience: 3+ years of direct B2B sales experience in industrial manufacturing, surface preparation, abrasives, paint, or heavy equipment.
• Travel & Autonomy: Ability to travel extensively throughout the mentioned area, with the ability to independently manage your own travel schedule and territory routes.
• Technical Aptitude: Comfort working on factory floors, inspecting blast equipment, and discussing technical specifications with engineers, plant managers, and procurement leads.
• Communication & Negotiation: Strong presentation skills and a proven track record of closing industrial contracts.
• ERP Proficiency: Experience using any ERP systems.
• Location Requirement: Must reside within the assigned territory; central location strongly preferred for travel efficiency
• Licensing: Must have a valid driver’s license
