Automation Technician Responsibilities
- Wire and connect electrical and pneumatic control systems and equipment.
- Install systems and equipment in machines.
- Carry out minor mechanical work and assembly tasks.
- Assemble cables for customer‑specific systems.
- Crimp and solder various types of contacts.
- Crimp contacts and assemble connectors.
- Solder cables and connectors.
- Wire electrical systems and controls.
- Connect the cable to the machine and pull it through.
- Test and inspect electrical systems.
- Train automation engineers as a vocational trainer starting August 2025.
- Provide practical and varied training, drawing on experience in research, medical technology, panel construction, and special machine construction.
- Support the professional development of future automation engineers.
