What do our Termite Technicians do?

The primary purpose of this role is to protect customers’ properties from wood‑destroying organisms. As a Termite Technician you are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding customers' properties. The inspections, prevention, and treatment services you provide create peace of mind and comfort for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps.
  • Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices.
  • Apply anti‑termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
  • Communicate to the customer critical conditions conducive to termite activity, discuss procedures and structural modifications that may be supplemental to the treatment process.
  • Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order.
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete production forms documenting services provided.
  • Interact with customers and explain services provided.
Essential Job Functions
  • Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations.
  • Prepare the job site for treatment.
  • Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
  • Work comfortably 20 feet up on a ladder and in small confined spaces.
  • General labor, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter, and attic experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work on roofs and high areas.
  • Lots of moving around—regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator; be comfortable working in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
What do you need?
  • Clean‑shaven face—for safety reasons (rebreathers must be able to seal your face).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
  • At least one year of customer service experience; experience in termite control is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility with working hours, Monday–Friday and Saturdays as needed.
  • Required licenses/certificates as mandated by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
  • Basic math skills—add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
