Hanwha Convergence USA (HCU) is seeking a Semiconductor I&C Field Construction Manager to supervise workface execution of the assigned Electrical, Instrumentation & Control construction scope on a major semiconductor FAB project in Indiana or another major project site in Philadelphia, depending on assignment. The role leads field crews executing cable tray, conduit, cable pulling, termination, field instrumentation, I/O check, and loop check activities for FMCS / utility control systems, while coordinating with the Site Manager, HCU technical support, Korean-speaking project interface, QA/QC, Safety, BIM/design, and local field resources to meet schedule, productivity, quality, and safety targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Semiconductor I&C Field Execution & Crew Supervision (60%)
- Manage workface execution of assigned semiconductor FAB E&I / I&C scope, including cable tray / conduit, cable pulling, termination, field instrument installation, I/O checks, and loop checks
- Supervise foremen, technicians, local crews, and subcontracted crews; assign daily tasks, verify work readiness, monitor productivity, and correct field execution issues
- Coordinate Site Manager / PM work plans into daily and weekly short-interval schedules; track installed quantities and report field progress
- Review and work from I&C drawings, loop diagrams, instrument indexes, cable schedules, installation details, and approved work methods
- Provide practical field guidance based on semiconductor FAB utility / I&C construction experience, including sequencing, workface access, congestion, and safe execution
Technical Coordination & Semiconductor I&C Interface (25%)
- Coordinate field-level interface with Client project teams, HCU technical support, BIM/design, QA/QC, Safety, and local construction supervisors
- Confirm material and instrument installation readiness, including field instruments, transmitters, detectors, motor dampers, analyzers, cable, tray, conduit, and accessories
- Identify installation conflicts, shortages, quality concerns, and technical issues; elevate to the Site Manager with proposed corrective actions
Quality, Safety & Documentation (15%)
- Support OSHA and project safety requirements at the workface; lead or support toolbox talks, JHAs, and safe-work execution for assigned crews
- Verify workmanship and installation quality for tray / conduit, cable pulling, termination, tagging, I/O check readiness, and loop check readiness
- Maintain accurate field records, daily reports, quantity tracking, redlines, punch items, and turnover support documentation
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent trade / field experience
- 15+ years of industrial / semiconductor electrical and I&C construction experience, including crew leadership or field supervision
- Strong hands-on knowledge of semiconductor FAB E&I / I&C installation, including cable tray / conduit, cable pulling, termination, field instrumentation, I/O check, loop test, and pre-commissioning support
- Ability to read I&C and electrical drawings, loop diagrams, instrument indexes, cable schedules, and installation details
- Practical understanding of FMCS / SCADA utility control systems, field instrumentation, and semiconductor site execution constraints
- Fluent in Korean; able to coordinate with Korean-speaking client / partner teams and work with English-speaking local teams with company support as needed
- Willing to relocate to and be based at the project site in Indiana or Philadelphia, depending on assignment; able to obtain a U.S. work visa (company sponsorship provided)
- Semiconductor FAB experience, OSHA 30, and prior field crew leadership experience preferred
