The Village of Montgomery is seeking a dependable, skilled Building Trades Technician to join our Public Works Department and support the maintenance, repair, and operation of building systems across all Village-owned facilities. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and well-maintained municipal buildings, with a strong emphasis on commercial HVAC repair and maintenance.

This Role Is Ideal For Someone Who Enjoys Hands-on Mechanical Work, Takes Pride In Maintaining Safe And Reliable Equipment, And Thrives In a Team-oriented Environment. The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and vocational training in commercial HVAC systems.
• Have four to six years of prior experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of commercial building systems, HVAC repair methods, tools, and safety practices.
• Be able to diagnose defects in HVAC equipment and research solutions.
• Have practical knowledge of Building Automation Systems.
• Must possess EPA 608 Certification, Lift Certification, and Boiler Certification within six months of hire.

This is a full-time position. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The starting pay for this position is $30.25 per hour
