Role Description

The Field Services Engineer is a full‑time, remote role responsible for supporting Aquaneering systems installed at customer sites. Day‑to‑day tasks include performing on‑site and virtual troubleshooting of aquatic housing and filtration systems, diagnosing mechanical and technical issues, and implementing effective repairs. The role involves conducting regular preventive maintenance visits, system inspections, and performance checks to ensure reliable operation and optimal water quality.

The Field Services Engineer will provide technical support and training to customers, document service activities, and collaborate with internal engineering and support teams to resolve complex challenges. This position requires frequent communication with research facility staff to understand their needs, deliver high‑quality customer service, and uphold Aquaneering’s standards for system reliability and safety.

Qualifications
  • Strong Field Service skills, including on‑site installation, configuration, and repair of technical systems.
  • Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support for mechanical, electrical, and fluid system components.
  • Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices to sustain system performance and minimize downtime.
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to build professional relationships and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
  • Relevant technical background in engineering, mechanics, or a related field; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote capacity, managing schedules, and documenting service activities accurately.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed, including laboratories and research facilities.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing, water filtration, or life support systems is highly beneficial.
  • Commitment to safety standards and adherence to customer facility protocols.
