Collaborates with Outreach Coordinator conducting ongoing community outreach by identifying and engaging families, social service agencies, service providers, and other referral sources who may benefit from Early Childhood Programs. Actively recruits, engages, and supports participant retention through direct interaction and collaboration with referral sources and regional partners. Distributes marketing materials and delivers presentations or informational resources upon request from individuals, families, and community organizations.
Qualifications- Minimum of High School Diploma required;
Associate degree in Social Services, Sociology, Psychology, or related area and equivalent combination of experience and education preferred. Related degrees with equivalent experience will be considered; - A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience, preferred with Early Childhood Programs and familiarity with agencies serving at-risk populations
- A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with local agencies, providers, and referral sources
- Passion and desire for Early Childhood education and programs and the ability to effectively convey the benefits of these programs to families and the community
- Skilled in delivering information to diverse groups through confident and effective presentations
- Knowledge of local social service agencies and community resources
- Ability to complete required data reports, analyze data and utilize data strategies to support outreach efforts and best practices
- Willingness/ability to work as a team member
- Great organizational skills
- History of good job attendance
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record with daily access to private insured vehicle during work hours
- Ability to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of outreach efforts, including some night and weekend hours for events
- Good communication skills in verbal and written
- Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable disease
Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
EvaluationPerformance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
