DescriptionOf Work
This position provides daily support to children, youth, and families within the County Children and Youth Services Agency. The role helps clients access services, maintain daily routines, and navigate important appointments. As a County Social Services Aide 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Client Transport: Provide safe transportation for clients to medical, dental, court, and recreational appointments
- Basic Assistance: Support clients and families with routine daily living tasks and household needs
- Information Outreach: Deliver basic information and contact clients who miss scheduled appointments
- Item Delivery: Distribute and transport essential items such as equipment, clothing, and personal belongings
- Child Supervision: Supervise children during office visits and assist in crisis situations within client homes
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Must have availability to work outside regular hours.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
