DescriptionGoodwill of the Southern Alleghenies is seeking a compassionate, dependable Project Assistant to support the daily operations of the New Beginnings Drop-In Center. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with individuals in recovery and helping create a welcoming, supportive environment that promotes community integration, empowerment, and self-advocacy. The Project Assistant will work under the direction of the Project Supervisor and assist with Center activities and operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with consumer-chosen activities, groups, recreational events, and projects.
- Help facilitate recovery-oriented, psycho educational, and social activities.
- Assist with community outreach and recruitment.
- Support Drop-In Center Advisory Board meetings and volunteer activities.
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately and on time.
- Help maintain records and receipts related to Center activities.
- Provide participant transportation when needed using an agency vehicle.
- Provide coverage and assist with Center operations when the Project Supervisor is absent.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience working with individuals in recovery from mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Basic computer skills are required. Candidates must also have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, dependable transportation, and the ability to obtain required background clearances. Pay: $14.00 per hour
Schedule:
Approximately 13 hours per week
