The Opportunity:

We are looking for Versatile, curious, and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale and implement advanced automation tools leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance our Release Management function. This role is critical to optimizing and streamlining the release process, ensuring smooth, efficient, and error‑free deployments across test and production environments.

As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that will automate and speed up software release. You will lead hands‑on development of innovative AI‑driven automation solutions, from proof of concept (POC) through to deployment and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of software development life cycles, and a commitment to collaborative problem solving and quality product delivery.

The Work itself:

• Design, develop, and maintain AI‑powered automation tools that enhance and streamline the release management lifecycle while shaping internal standards for scalability, reliability, and reusability.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Release Management, Dev Ops, and Development teams to gather requirements and translate them into innovative technical solutions.
• Build robust, scalable automation frameworks that seamlessly integrate with existing CI/CD pipelines and release orchestration systems.
• Conduct proofs of concept (POCs) and prototype AI‑driven features to optimize release scheduling, risk analysis, and anomaly detection.
• Leverage Generative AI technologies to advance software development practices—enabling intelligent code generation, optimization, and automated testing.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, and reference material for newly developed tools.
• Participate actively in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure exceptional product quality and reliability.
• Demonstrate adaptability and proactive problem‑solving skills to meet evolving project priorities and business goals.
• Stay informed about emerging AI technologies and best practices relevant to release automation and continuous delivery.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence—driving adoption of continuous integration, secure coding, thorough code review, code coverage, code quality metrics, and early‑stage validation (“shift‑left”) approaches.
• Identify opportunities for enhancement across standards, processes, and systems to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
