Adheres to all phases of the application software development lifecycle. Applies working knowledge to develop and review code for application features and enhancements following design specifications, and develops documents to clarify application design and code. Conducts debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix simple and moderately complex application issues. Develops fixes for identified issues. Troubleshoots and resolves standard and non-standard issues related to application programming interface (API) functionality, integration, and service-to-service interactions.
Collaborates with own team and begins to network outside of the team to understand customer use cases and align application solutions. May provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding application-related issues, with limited supervision. Begins to collaborate with the team to establish and follow application development practices, secure coding standards, and code quality. Performs periodic maintenance and testing operations for application systems that require upgrading or patching (e.g., for critical vulnerabilities), with limited guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including architects, product managers, developers, QA testers, and support staff, to deliver cutting‑edge full‑stack applications and services.
- Participate in design and development of new software components and features, ensuring they meet high‑quality standards.
- Contribute to design specifications and code reviews.
- Implement and automate tests to ensure the reliability and performance of our cloud services.
- Take ownership of deploying new code to production environments, working closely with the team to ensure seamless releases.
- Participate in the day‑to‑day operations of the services you help create, providing ongoing support and maintenance.
- Engage in all phases of the software development process, from ideation to delivery.
Requirements and
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 3-4+ years of professional experience in designing and developing complex software systems using Java‑based platforms.
- Proficiency in Java/JEE technologies, including JPA, JDBC, and RESTful Web Services, with a strong understanding of RDBMS, preferably Oracle.
- Practical knowledge of modern front‑end frameworks such as Angular, React/Redux, or Knockout for building interactive user interfaces.
- Ability to create responsive UI elements using grid/flex box layouts or frameworks like Foundation.
- Expertise in at least one of the following:
Oracle JET, JQuery, Knockout JS, Preact/React, LESS/SASS. - Experience with Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies is essential.
- Experience leveraging GenAI and Agents in workflows to increase productivity.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and a methodical approach to software development.
- Excellent communication and time management skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Preferred
Skills:
- Experience with massively scalable systems and handling big data is advantageous.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems or medical data would be an added asset.
- Knowledge of distributed computing, storage replication, and data planes is a plus.
