As part of the GLS IT organization, we design and operate scalable solutions that process millions of parcels across Europe and ensure seamless integration between core systems, microservices, and operational workflows.

• Translate product ideas from business departments into deployable code using modern standards and technology.
• Design, develop, and integrate event‑driven microservices that make smart decisions for delivery preferences based on parcel and consignee data.
• Drive and support architectural decisions, ensuring solutions align with performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build cloud‑native solutions that improve data quality, reduce manual effort and enhance the end‑to‑end delivery experience.
• Work as part of an international agile team in a stable economic environment.

• University degree in computer science/engineering or comparable.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservice‑based architecture.
• Practical experience with AWS and cloud‑based deployment models, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• In‑depth knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Frontend development experience, preferably with Angular.
• Strong quality mindset with experience in automated testing and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging solutions.
• Daily use of AI tooling.
• Team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and pursuing optimal solutions for the team, product, and company.
