Organizational Overview

The Enterprise Integration Services team plays a pivotal role in connecting and orchestrating systems and applications across the organization. The team specializes in architecting, designing, implementing, and operating secure, scalable integration solutions (APIs, middleware, authentication, messaging, and file-based integrations) that enable seamless data flow, improve business functionality, and support enterprise modernization initiatives.

Role Summary/Purpose

Development Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of cloud-native applications. This role provides hands‑on technical leadership while driving delivery execution across the Caching Solutions and Rewards System teams. The Technical Lead is accountable for driving business commitments, coordinating across product and platform stakeholders, and reporting progress, risks, and delivery outcomes to leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development effort for cloud‑native applications across the Caching Solutions and Rewards System teams, ensuring high‑quality delivery against business commitments.
  • Drive business commitments by translating product needs into executable technical plans, aligning scope and sequencing, and ensuring delivery predictability.
  • Own solution design and implementation approach for complex features and services; lead architecture/design reviews and ensure alignment to engineering standards and best practices.
  • Remain hands‑on by contributing to code, conducting code reviews, guiding implementation patterns, and resolving complex engineering problems.
  • Mentor and guide engineers through technical coaching, pairing, and review feedback; raise overall engineering capability and quality.
  • Partner with Platform Engineering and other internal teams to coordinate technical dependencies and integrations required for delivery (without owning platform operations).
  • Coordinate with internal technical resources and third‑party vendors as needed to unblock development and resolve product‑impacting issues.
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership, including progress against commitments, risks, mitigation plans, and dependency needs.
Required Skills/Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of system engineering experience, or in lieu of a degree with 7+ years of skilled system engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of strong hands‑on development experience in Java and Spring Boot for building enterprise‑grade services.
  • 3+ years Proven expertise in designing and implementing cloud‑native applications using a microservices‑based architecture

  • 3+ years of hands on of event streaming and asynchronous processing patterns using Kafka & Amazon MSK
    .
  • Minimum 3+ Experience deploying and operating applications on cloud platforms such as AWS and PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
  • Working knowledge of relational database design and persistence using MySQL
    .
  • Experience with observability, logging, and production monitoring, including tools such as Splunk and New Relic.
