Forward Deployed Engineer

At Astraeus, Forward Deployed Engineers sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer outcomes. You’ll work directly with customers to understand complex operational and data challenges, and then design and implement solutions that actually run in production.
This is not a traditional implementation role, nor is it an internal product engineering role. You’ll own problems end-to-end: from shaping ambiguous requirements to shipping working systems that deliver measurable impact. You will operate as a technical builder in customer environments, helping close the gap between business complexity and production‑grade software.

What You’ll Do

• Partner directly with customer stakeholders to understand workflows, constraints, and goals
• Translate real‑world problems into scalable, production‑grade technical solutions
• Build and deploy systems using Astraeus’ platform and modern tooling (including AI‑native workflows)
• Rapidly prototype and iterate, often starting with rough ideas and evolving them into robust systems
• Act as a trusted technical partner to customers: someone who both understands the problem and delivers the solution
• Work across product, engineering, and customer teams to ensure what gets deployed is technically sound, operationally viable, and aligned to user outcomes

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5 years of experience in a high‑performance, client‑facing environment
• Proven ability to take ownership and drive work streams independently
• Strong technical fluency—you can build, debug, and ship, whether your background is in software engineerings, technical consulting, solutions engineerings, or a similar hands‑on role Comfort operating in ambiguity and turning incomplete information into action
• Experience working with complex organizations, workflows, and stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility quickly with both tehcnical and non‑technical audiences

• You’ve built scrappy tools, scripts, or pragmatic systems to solve real problems
