Box Truck Driver

Our full time employees are offered 40 hours of work every week. We do not lower hours during slow seasons or based on company needs. During the summer overtime opportunities are available to those who desire them.

air conditioned warehouse position in tempe (priest and southern) with locally-owned k-12 bookstore. We need box truck drivers/logistics/warehouse workers for our summer season, as well as sales staff for our sales office. This position specifically requires experience driving a box truck (forklift experience a plus). This person would be our primary driver of our 26 foot box truck to do pickups of books at local locations.

This involves repeatedly lifting 40-60 pound boxes, loading them on pallets, and loading and unloading these pallets onto a box truck using manual or automated pallet jack. Handling logistical details of pickups and coordinating with our sales staff who set up these pickups is important. Must be professional and cordial with our customers. Problem solving when logistics get difficult is important.

Some opportunities to travel and earn bonus pay for those travel trips to support our purchasing/sales staff is available, especially in the summer. Overtime is available in the summer months. Time not spent driving will be spent assisting our warehouse with sorting, picking, and packing our books, among other warehouse tasks (especially during the fall/winter/spring, not all the hours are driving).

we have the ability to accommodate students who want to work full time in the summer and have flexible part time hours during the school year without issue. This pays $23/hour to start. Pay increases come over time with increased responsibility and success. Ability to pass a background check and receive an arizona fingerprint clearance card is needed for driver candidates, as well as a clean mvr.

our core hours are 7-3:30 monday – friday. Start date can be immediate or whenever available.

we purchase used kindergarten-12th grade textbooks and resell them online and directly to schools. We need very detail-oriented, self-motivated individuals to assist with all aspects of the business.the majority of our employees work within a warehouse grading and sorting books, inputting inventory into our database, and picking, packing and shipping books. Some also go into the field to collect and sort books ready for pickup at various local locations.

Most employees who do this call it a great paid workout. I hire the best, so you will work with the best.

all staff are expected to work at least 40 hours of work per week in the summer months and we have a blackout on time off from may-september.. Some of our staff choose to work less in the winter (as few as 6 a week) and more hours in the summers due to school schedules or desire for flexibility for other reasons.

there are also opportunities for overtime, especially in the summer, for those who desire it.
