Candidates must obtain and hold a yellow card throught the state of Indiana.
This allows the driver to transport Special Education students in the state of Indiana.
- 1.Take and pass all assessments involved in the Indiana Department of Education's three day pre-service class
- 2.Pass a physical (Frontier School Corporation will reimburse for the cost of the physical)
- 3.Observe four (4) hours with a Frontier School Corporation Bus Driver holding a CDL
- 4.Drive eight (8) hours with a Frontier School Corporation Bus Driver holding a CDL
- 5.Take the annual safety class from the Indiana Department of Education prior to December 31, 2021.
- 6.Be able to communicate effectively with students
- 7.Be able to maintain discipline on the bus while driving
- 8.Be able to do trouble shooting for minor maintanence issues on the bus
- 9.Board the bus and walk to the back of the bus.
At the back of the bus, get out the back door.
