A DAY IN THE LIFE- Partner with project teams, marketing, and administrative stakeholders to prepare and submit accurate owner billings and resolve discrepancies.
- Process all overhead and job cost invoices throughout the month.
- Communicate daily with vendors and subcontractors to resolve billing, payment, and documentation issues.
- Manage lien waiver collection, tracking, and verification to support payout authorization and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and audit vendor compliance records within ERP and payment systems to support accurate documentation, payment processing, and financial controls.
- Perform monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations, assist with cash reconciliation, and prepare collection reporting to support month-end close accuracy.
- Support controller-directed accounting tasks and project-related financial initiatives as needed.
- Respond to requests for information and analysis from the Project Managers on various job cost and subcontractor issues.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and project teams to support efficient issue resolution.
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience; construction accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project priorities independently.
- Understanding of project cost tracking, subcontractor billing, and financial controls.
- High attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines and high pressure.
- Proven Ability to work with and build relationships with a wide variety of people.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Experience with construction ERP systems (e.g., Viewpoint, Textura) preferred.
