This position is responsible for maintaining financial records as well as tracking and reporting the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit/loss, and other related financial activities.

- Performs general bookkeeping, job cost accounting, and other related tasks
- Completes bank reconciliations and reconciles most other balance sheet accounts
- Ensures revenue and expenses are recognized accurately and timely
- Assists with the following:
- Preparing monthly balance sheets and income statements
- Maintaining the general ledger and closing books at month-end
- Reviewing closing statements as well as underlying support and recording closings
- Managing company credit card programs and ensuring charges are recorded accurately
- Preparing and submitting draw requests to lenders
- Processing accounts payable and collecting accounts receivable
- Analyzing historical data for budget setting process
- Providing CPA firms with requested information for audit and tax preparation
- Ensuring that 1099’s are filed accurately and on time
- Works consistent to company accounting policies and procedures
- Keeps organized electronic and paper accounting records
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Adaptable to change and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and job cost accounting
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Homebuilding/construction accounting experience preferred
