As our Controller, you’ll oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the region. You’ll ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, support project financial performance, and provide timely financial information to operational and corporate leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities- Accounting: Manage all regional accounting functions, including accounts payable coordination, accounts receivable support, intercompany transactions and general ledger maintenance.
- Oversee job cost allocations and analyze WIP Schedules, revenue recognition and unbilled revenue.
- Implement and maintain electronic and automated expense management tools.
- Maintain and enforce accounting policies and procedures to ensure the accurate and timely accounting of all transactions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
- Financial Reporting: Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes and procedures.
- Oversee the monthly account reconciliation process.
- Prepare regional financial reports and provide variance analysis to corporate leadership and operations teams.
- Monitor subsidiary performance against budgets and forecasts; highlight risks and opportunities.
- Support the Corporate Controller in the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements.
- Support the cross functional development and maintenance of dashboard reports to effectively manage the business.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes with accurate historical data and projections.
- Support the preparation and coordination of annual financial audits and tax returns.
- Treasury Management: Manage the collection and booking of all accounts receivable.
- Manage the payment of all accounts payable and other expenses.
- Other Responsibilities: Assist in the development, refinement and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Support and assist the implementation of cloud-based ERP.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
- Support departmental initiatives focused on process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred. - 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including accounting management or supervisory responsibilities.
- Construction or specialty subcontractor experience, including job cost and WIP accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, detail oriented with high accuracy standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross functionally throughout the organization.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Quick Books, Net Suite, Jonas) and financial reporting tools.
- Strong organizational, supervisory, and team collaboration skills.
