DOH-Team Lead Accountant-Project Clean

Overview

This position will act as the Team Lead and maintain tracking of the status of grants and projects being reconciled to the point of being closed in People Soft and Euna (Finance and Grants software). The role involves extensive audit work, creation of journal entries, and coordination with other finance teams.

• Reconcile projects and audit past project activities.
• Process journal entries and revenue transactions as needed.
• Ensure projects are closed upon completion and maintain a listing of all projects and their status.
• Engage in comprehensive reviews of financial data and understand Notice of Awards and Grant Requirements.
• Coordinate with the Clean Up Project group and communicate status updates.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (or compensatory experience).
• 3–5 years of accounting/auditing experience with demonstrated progression.
• Experience with State government accounting (preferred).
• Proficiency with People Soft and Euna financial and grant software.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and Government Accounting.
• Broad understanding of federal, state, and agency budgeting and fiscal policies.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining diplomacy and courtesy.
