Accounting Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an Indianapolis distribution firm seeking an Accounting Manager. This role reports to the Controller and will oversee day-to-day accounting operations across AP, AR, and General Ledger functions.

This is a hands-on leadership role supporting a high-volume accounting environment. The company is seeking someone who can manage people, stay close to the details, support month-end close, maintain controls, and help improve processes as the business continues to grow.

• Oversee AP, AR, and GL accounting functions
• Manage accounting staff and team leads
• Monitor deadlines and team performance
• Support month-end and year-end close
• Analyze variances and reporting trends
• Maintain internal controls and procedures
• Support process improvement initiatives
• Assist with future ERP/system projects
• Help train, coach, and develop staff

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong GL and month-end close experience
• Understanding of AP, AR, and accounting operations
• Advanced Excel skills
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• Ability to work in a high-volume, hands-on environment
• Comfortable working fully onsite

• Bonus paid quarterly, generally around 10–20% annually
