Now hiring for an Indianapolis Accounting Assistant.
Responsibilities- Manage 30-40 small business clients.
- Handle bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain clean records.
- Communicate with clients as needed.
- Support tax work including sales tax, 1099s, property tax, and assist with returns.
- Help onboard new clients and complete cleanup projects.
- Review Staff Accountant work and partner with managers on quality and deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 0-3 years of experience or relevant internship.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Experience with Quick Books or similar systems preferred.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and motivated to learn.
- Interest in CPA or EA path is a plus.
This is an in-office position.
