Our client designs and manufactures passenger boarding bridges (jetways) and other airport solutions used by airports around the world. We're seeking a Cost Accountant who enjoys working closely with manufacturing and operations to improve profitability, strengthen financial controls, and provide meaningful business insight.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond transactional accounting and become a true business partner within a growing manufacturing organization.
What You'll Do
- Analyze manufacturing costs and product profitability
- Maintain standard costs and bills of material
- Perform monthly cost and inventory analysis
- Investigate manufacturing variances and recommend improvements
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost savings
- Support budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories
- Assist with monthly financial close activities
- Support revenue recognition and manufacturing accounting processes
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
- Experience with standard costing and variance analysis
- Knowledge of inventory accounting
- Advanced Excel skills
- CPA or CMA preferred but not required
Experience with Percentage of Completion accounting, ASC 606, or international manufacturing is a plus.
