Commercial Property Accounting Specialist

We're looking for a Commercial Property Accounting Specialist who is detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoys solving problems. If you like working with numbers, managing financial details, and partnering with both tenants and property teams to keep things running smoothly, this could be a great opportunity for you.

If you’re passionate, driven, and ready to thrive, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide daily accounting support to commercial tenants and onsite property teams throughout the portfolio.
  • Manage commercial tenant ledgers, including posting and reversing payments, creating and reversing charges, and resolving accounting issues.
  • Enter and maintain accurate tenant charges, including rent, CAM, and additional rent schedules in Entrata.
  • Coordinate monthly commercial tenant ACH payments with Property Accountants.
  • Oversee the receipt and refunding of commercial security deposits.
  • Set up and maintain properties, units, tenants, and leases in Entrata, including new leases, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly commercial rent roll and delinquency reports and partner with property teams on follow‑up.
  • Prepare initial CAM estimates and manage annual CAM reconciliations and budgets in accordance with individual leases.
  • Ensure commercial expenses are coded accurately and consistently at month‑end.
  • Maintain commercial tenant late fees and supporting lease documentation within Entrata.
  • Assist tenants with payment portal setup and ACH implementation and answer questions related to their accounts.
  • Prepare daily and weekly financial reports and communications while supporting Commercial Property Management with special projects as needed.
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • You have approximately 3+ years of accounting experience; commercial property management experience is a plus.
  • An Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • You have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices and enjoy working with financial data.
  • You have strong mathematical and analytical skills and are comfortable identifying discrepancies and finding solutions.
  • You're highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • You're comfortable learning and navigating company‑specific software and systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally with tenants, property teams, and internal partners.
  • You approach problems thoughtfully and look for solutions rather than simply identifying issues.
  • You genuinely care about providing a positive experience for the customers and teams you support.
