We're looking for a Commercial Property Accounting Specialist who is detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoys solving problems. What You’ll Do- Provide daily accounting support to commercial tenants and onsite property teams throughout the portfolio.
- Manage commercial tenant ledgers, including posting and reversing payments, creating and reversing charges, and resolving accounting issues.
- Enter and maintain accurate tenant charges, including rent, CAM, and additional rent schedules in Entrata.
- Coordinate monthly commercial tenant ACH payments with Property Accountants.
- Oversee the receipt and refunding of commercial security deposits.
- Set up and maintain properties, units, tenants, and leases in Entrata, including new leases, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Prepare and distribute monthly commercial rent roll and delinquency reports and partner with property teams on follow‑up.
- Prepare initial CAM estimates and manage annual CAM reconciliations and budgets in accordance with individual leases.
- Ensure commercial expenses are coded accurately and consistently at month‑end.
- Maintain commercial tenant late fees and supporting lease documentation within Entrata.
- Assist tenants with payment portal setup and ACH implementation and answer questions related to their accounts.
- Prepare daily and weekly financial reports and communications while supporting Commercial Property Management with special projects as needed.
- You have approximately 3+ years of accounting experience; commercial property management experience is a plus.
- An Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- You have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices and enjoy working with financial data.
- You have strong mathematical and analytical skills and are comfortable identifying discrepancies and finding solutions.
- You're highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- You're comfortable learning and navigating company‑specific software and systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- You communicate clearly and professionally with tenants, property teams, and internal partners.
- You approach problems thoughtfully and look for solutions rather than simply identifying issues.
- You genuinely care about providing a positive experience for the customers and teams you support.
