Our client, a well-established Manufacturing company in the Indianapolis area, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their accounting and finance team. ResponsibilitiesProcess multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule
Maintain payroll records and employee compensation information
Review and audit payroll data including wages, deductions, taxes, and benefits
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Prepare and distribute W-2s, payroll reports, and other required documentation
Process garnishments, benefit deductions, and payroll adjustments
Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end reporting
Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Partner with Human Resources regarding new hires, terminations, and employee changes
Assist with payroll audits and support continuous process improvements
3+ years of payroll processing experience
Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
Experience processing payroll for multiple employees and pay groups
Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, Workday, or similar systems
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
Multi-state payroll experience
Experience with HRIS and ERP systems
Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
