The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Winona Lake, IN. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations. The Accountant will prepare and maintain accurate financial records, assist with budgeting, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. Additional responsibilities include generating financial reports for management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, and coordinating with external vendors, banks, and tax professionals.

The role also involves supporting job costing, tracking project expenses, and providing financial insights to help guide business decisions.

• Strong skills in general accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books or similar), Microsoft Excel, and other standard office applications.
• Ability to prepare financial statements, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Knowledge of basic tax principles, financial compliance requirements, and record-keeping best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
• Experience in construction, roofing, or home-remodeling industries is beneficial but not required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
