Accounting Manager

Located on the Northside of Indianapolis, our client has an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for a variety of accounting responsibilities including but not limited to month end close and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, driving change, and developing a strong team.

• Directing and managing finance and accounting functions and training of accounting staff
• Coordinating inter-departmental functions to ensure accurate, effective and timely processing of transactions
• Overseeing all accounts, ledgers and financial reporting systems
• Ensuring financial transactions are in accordance with GAAP, regulatory guidelines, and program requirements
• Ensuring all journal entries are posted and account reconciliations are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Performing analysis and review of financial results
• Updating and developing applicable policies and procedures
• Providing support and back-up to the CFO
• Continue to improve analytics and controls.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Public Accounting experience preferred
• CPA required
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience
• Minimum 2 years supervising and managing other members of finance and accounting professionals
• Expert user of Microsoft Excel
• Competency with general ledger accounting and financial reporting software systems
