, in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Senior Cost Accountant
. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, leading month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX standards.

• Lead financial planning and analysis functions including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
• Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, balance sheet, and P&L reconciliations
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of financial metrics such as sales, expenses, and capital projects
• Manage SOX audit requirements and ensure timely completion of audits
• Oversee fixed asset management and conduct asset inventories
• Handle intercompany balancing and reconciliation of A/P and A/R
• Create and apply automated tools for updating, analyzing, and reporting consolidated financial data
• Partner with finance leadership to support strategic decision-making through financial insights

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within manufacturing
• Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance
• Proficiency with financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation processes
• Experience managing intercompany transactions and asset inventories
• Advanced Excel skills or similar tools for financial modeling and automation
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• MBA in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification
• Experience with Plex ERP
• Prior experience in a senior analyst or FP&A role
