Corporate Accounting Intern | The Heritage Group The Tone:

- Team:
Accounting Team, collaborating with finance professionals and business partners - Mission:
Support accounting and financial processes to contribute to the organization’s success and efficiency. - Tech Stack:
Excel, Financial Software, accounting systems, ERP software, AI tools
- Manage core accounting operations:
Process accounts payable and receivable, perform reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and support financial reporting. - Support audit preparation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation and compile necessary audit support materials. - Drive process improvement:
Leverage automation and AI tools to enhance efficiency within accounting processes. - Develop procedural clarity:
Document operational accounting processes and internal controls. - Enhance financial insights:
Build reporting functionality across Corporate Finance in collaboration with other teams.
- Background:
Rising Junior or Senior in an undergraduate degree program (preference for Accounting, Finance, or related business field) at an accredited institution; must understand basic accounting principles and financial statements. - Experience:
Entry-level professional eager to gain hands‑on experience in corporate accounting. - Skills:
Proficiency in Excel and financial software, including formulas, spreadsheets, and data organization; demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements; strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines; effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities. - Bonus:
Familiarity with accounting systems or ERP software; familiarity with AI tools.
