I'm currently recruiting for a Cost Accounting opportunity.
In this role, you will oversee cost accounting activities, analyze manufacturing costs, and partner with operations to improve profitability, inventory accuracy, and financial performance.
Responsibilities:- Maintaining and analyzing standard costs, bills of materials, labor, and overhead rates
- Reviewing inventory valuation, cycle counts, and cost variances
- Analyzing manufacturing performance, margins, and operational trends
- Partnering with plant and operations leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting
- Developing reports and KPIs to improve visibility and decision-making
- Improving cost accounting processes, systems, and internal controls
- Supervising or mentoring accounting staff, depending on experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
- 3-7+ years of accounting experience
- Manufacturing and cost accounting experience preferred
- Experience with inventory, standard costing, BOMs, and variance analysis
- ERP system experience required
- Prior leadership experience preferred for manager-level candidates
