Overview

Indiana University Health seeks a full‑time Paralegal to support our legal team. The role is hybrid, working 2 days in the office (Wednesdays and one chosen day) and 3 days from home, located at the Fairbanks Hall building in Indianapolis, IN.

Role Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys and internal and external contacts.
  • Provide high‑level administrative support, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents (e.g., correspondence, legal holds).
  • Support attorneys with liability claims, including document production, privilege review, and internal stakeholder communication.
  • Coordinate and manage discovery requests in litigation, gathering, reviewing, and organizing responsive documents.
  • Ensure timely responses to discovery obligations and compliance with court deadlines.
  • Assist in preparation of meetings, including agendas and material distribution.
  • Create and maintain corporate and legal forms, documents, reports, policies, procedures, governance documentation, and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with presentations and database updates.
  • Manage various projects as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Paralegal degree or certification preferred; bachelor's degree required.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience; experience with discovery and litigation support strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience in a matrix organization and complex work environment preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
