Location: Indianapolis

Our client located downtown Indianapolis is seeking a Legal
Assistant who will provide high-level administrative support to one attorney and legal teams by managing schedules, coordinating communications, and ensuring deadlines and projects stay on track. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex calendaring for an attorney, including court dates, meetings, and key deadlines
  • Coordinate and schedule internal and external meetings, including preparing agendas and logistics
  • Monitor and manage attorney email inboxes, prioritizing communications and responding as appropriate
  • Arrange domestic travel, including flights, hotels, and transportation
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal and administrative documents
  • Track attorney time entries and assist with timekeeping accuracy and submission
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule by monitoring timelines, follow-ups, and deliverables
  • Maintain deadline management systems and assist in tracking critical dates
  • Organize files, correspondence, and documentation in accordance with firm procedures
  • Provide general administrative support as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Qualifications
  • 2+ years in a legal administrative or executive support role preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and scheduling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and calendaring systems
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
