Salary Schedule & BenefitsThe School Receptionist (General Assignment) is paid on the "Secretaries" Salary Schedule, Level 4, and is eligible for benefits on the "Support Staff" benefits schedule if hired for at least 60 consecutive days.
Reports ToThe School Receptionist reports to the Principal or other designated building administrator.
SupervisesThe School Receptionist (General Assignment) does not supervise any other employee.
General Summary of DutiesUnder direct supervision, the School Receptionist (General Assignment) performs entry‑level clerical duties that may be associated with the processing of print requests, coordination of copier service for the work location, filling out forms, answering the phone, filing and simple database input. Performs related work as directed.
Essential Functions- Provides a high level of support to administrators they support.
- Answers the telephone; provides information and assistance; takes/relays messages to appropriate personnel.
- Performs customer service duties; greets visitors and students; and provides information and other forms of assistance.
- Works on assigned tasks, which may involve filing, sorting, packaging, unboxing textbooks or other materials, etc.
- Transcribes correspondence, school bulletins, or other forms of school communication.
- Make appointments and schedule meetings for staff.
- Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review, or modify data; utilizes word processing, database, and software programs.
- Operates a variety of machinery, equipment, and tools associated with department activities, which may include a typewriter, copy machine, or fax.
- Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Warren.
- With the support of the district, attends training to ensure skill level in various technologies is at the level required to perform in current position.
- Responsible for timely and accurate information they maintain as part of their job responsibilities.
- Performs related duties as directed.
